Pastor Josh Freundschuh is thankful that he grew up in a Godly Christian home. As a young man, he realized his need for salvation and trusted Christ in his family’s bathroom (the only place he could find privacy with 6 siblings!). He was called to preach at the age of 15 under the ministry of Dr. Carl Hatch at Mt. Salem Revival Grounds in West Union, West Virginia. As a result, Pastor Freundschuh spent the last 3 summers of his teen years traveling with Dr. Joe Boyd, a famous evangelist who specialized in soulwinning and Bible training. After attending Hyles-Anderson College (a Bible college in Northwest Indiana), he moved back home to Buffalo to work for his father’s Bobcat dealership as a salesman. During the next decade, he was active in ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church of North Tonawanda, where he was a bus worker, junior church teacher, assistant pastor, and Reformer’s Unanimous director. In the summer of 2012, Pastor Freundschuh felt led of the Lord to become the pastor of Humphrey Baptist Church. Pastor’s favorite verses are found in Ephesians 2:1-9, where he loves to read about what God has planned for those who trust Him as their Saviour. When not busy with ministry, Pastor Freundschuh loves to spend time with his family, hunt, camp at Allegany State Park, and ride his motorcycle. He is also a history buff and Civil War fanatic.

Pastor Freundschuh met his wife LaDonna, a native of West Virginia, at Bible college in September of 1998. They have been married for over twenty years and have seven children together – Jaclyn, Joseph, David, Amberlynn, John Andrew, and twins Joshua and Caleb. When she is not managing her household, Mrs. Freundschuh spends her “spare time” as a teacher at Solid Rock Christian Academy. She is fond of writing, reading Christian fiction, glamping, and spending time with her family. She also puts up with her husband’s obsession with Civil War battlefields, which he enjoys dragging her to.

• Associate Degree in Theology from Lighthouse Baptist Bible Institute
• Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Theology from Hyles-Anderson College
• Associate degree from Jamestown Community College in Social Science
• Associate degree from Jamestown Community College in Secondary Education
• Bachelor of Arts in History from Empire State College with a concentration in American Military History
• NYS Certified Social Studies teacher 7-12 grades.
